The gem of
the concert is the brilliant performance by Roman Kekhman of the cello
Sonata No.3 in A-Minor by Antonio Vivaldi and Sonata No.5 in G-Major by
Benedetto Marcello arranged by him for the bass clarinet.
His choice of the clarinet in C, when playing the flute Sonata Seconda in
D-minor by Daniel Purcell, makes this piece to sound in an absolutely new
way.
Even the most exacting audience cannot but acknowledge the very high
professional level of the musicians. The ensemble sounds very organic,
musicians understand each other perfectly, while the audience relish the
vivid interaction of three bright artistes.
